POSITION SUMMARY 

  • ​​ Senior Electrical Engineer in Design Engineering designs UPS’s, batteries, switchboards, panelboards, cable trays, cables, busbars, generators, transformers, RMU’s, MV  and other similar electrical equipment. Prepares documentation like single line diagrams, power load calculations, lighting calculations, cable lists, models electrical equipment in Revit, does the selectivity and discrimination studies, harmonic study, arc flash study, load flow analysis, lightning protection study, PUE analysis, cable sizing and other similar calculations.  Electrical engineer needs to have knowledge about relevant International and other standards related to electrical engineering.
  • Developing electrical design of modular buildings (medium to high complexity projects) in Revit and AutoCAD and produces project documentation as mentioned in upper paragraph.  Senior Electrical Engineer in design engineering works on single line diagrams in AutoCAD, wiring diagrams in ePlan, models in Revit, works on selectivity and discrimination studies in relevant software’s, communicates with the customer via conference calls, participates on engineering meetings with equipment suppliers, develops new skills and knowledge through internal and external education and sometimes travels on meetings with the customer. 
  • Engineer with Data Center Projects experience/background or similar Critical Infrastructure experience preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing of project conceptual and detailed design
  • Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of electrical project documentation: power and lighting calculations, selectivity and coordination studies, harmonic study, arc flash study, load flow analysis, lightning protection study, PUE analysis, diagrams, layouts, schedules, cable running lists, detail drawings, descriptions, instructions, material submittals, presentations, and marketing materials etc.
  • During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
  • Use knowledge and experience to fulfill requirements given by project tasks
  • Participating in kick-off meeting, regular project team meetings, client meetings and on-site coordination meetings
  • Reporting project status to Project Lead Engineer
  • Proactive cooperation with all team members of other disciplines during project execution
  • Communicates with stakeholders in North America, India, EMEA or Australia based on project & time overlap.
  • First point of contact and managing a group of electrical engineers on bigger projects
  • Initiating RFI („Request for Information “) in cases where additional clarification is needed
  • Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
  • Verification and approval of workshop documentation developed by subcontractors
  • Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution 
  • Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
  • Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
  • Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
  • Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
  • Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team 
  • Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
  • Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
  • Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
  • Participation on internal testing and FAT

Authorities:

  • Review and approval of outsourced electrical design documentation
  • Approve or reject technically received supplier offer
  • Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education – BE/BTech - Electrical Engineering OR ME/Mtech- Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience
  • English language – Fluent
  • Software – Revit, AutoCAD, EPLAN, MS Office, Dialux, ABB e-Design, Schneider Ecodial etc.
  • Soft Skills: Independent, attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, teamwork, flexible, hard working, managing and coordinating other project assigned electrical engineers
