Job Description:
Vertiv Infrastructure Solutions, Pune is looking for dynamic and experienced Controls Engineer in Design Engineering develops design of controls projects to satisfy all required inputs and requirements to produce sustainable and functional controls and building equipment monitoring design. Controls engineer models design in Revit and prepares standard controls documentation like plans, sections, elevation views, I/O lists, riser diagrams, sequence of operations, equipment technical specifications and material submittals. Controls engineer scope of work is:
- Supportive role during design of the BMS documentation set for design of modular buildings (small/medium scale)
- Specification of the control equipment and material
- Setting up the BMS equipment (field equipment, network switches and PLC’s, servers and operator working station)
- Making “As built documentation”
- Support during FAT

Support during commissioning on site
Design of the BMS system of modular buildings (small/medium scale) according to the input data, specification of the material and equipment and development of construction documentation at office in Delaware NA. Support internal testing and FAT in factory In India/USA. Supporting commissioning team at site during commissioning process (India/USA region).
Job Specifications & Responsibilities:
- Developing of project conceptual and detailed design
- Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of electrical project documentation: riser and network diagrams, I/O lists, application and functional diagrams, instructions, material submittals, presentations and marketing materials etc.
- During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
- Participating in kick-off meetings, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings
- Reporting project status to Project Lead Engineer
- Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
- Controlling and supporting controls integrators with support of lead Controls engineer
- Initiating RFI („Request for Information “) in cases where additional clarification is needed
- Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
- Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
- Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
- Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
- Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
- Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
- Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
- Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
- Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
- Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
- Supporting role on internal testing and FAT
- Development of installation and maintenance documentation
- In factory, on-site and/or remote commissioning and deployment of BMS
Authorities:
- Review and approval of outsourced BMS design and commissioning with support of lead Controls engineer
- Approve or reject technically received supplier offer with support of lead Controls engineer
- Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation with support of lead Controls engineer
Education & Certifications:
- Education – Electrical Engineer (Automation) with 3-5 years’ experience
- English language – fluent
- Software – AutoCAD, EPLAN, Revit (preferred)
- Technical skills – programming, SCADA, PLC, ethernet networks, DDC (preferred), Modbus (preferred)
- Other skills – independent, attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, teamwork
