Job Description:

Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and product testing teams to validate cost-optimized solutions for existing and new products under VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) initiatives. The primary responsibility is to ensure reliability, functional integrity, and certification compliance after implementing VAVE changes. This role requires validating design and component modifications through structured testing, automation programs, and compliance assessments. The candidate must ensure that all VAVE changes maintain product performance, safety, and quality standards without compromising customer requirements. Being part of a Global Engineering Function, the role demands strict adherence to defined processes and communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing and validation of VAVE-related design and component changes in power supply products, modules, and systems.
  • Conduct hardware and software testing (black box/white box) for communication power products to ensure compliance post-cost optimization.
  • Develop and maintain automated test programs for validating VAVE modifications efficiently.
  • Formulate test plans, stress conditions, and procedures for evaluating new components or design changes introduced through VAVE.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, reliability, and compliance teams to verify cost-optimized solutions without affecting performance.
  • Ensure all VAVE changes comply with UL, CE, and other international safety and certification standards.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, risk analysis, and recommendations for each VAVE implementation.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for failures during VAVE validation and provide corrective action inputs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost competitiveness while maintaining high reliability and safety standards.

Job Specifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Power Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in power electronics product/module testing (AC/DC chargers, DC/DC converters, UPS preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in automation testing tools and programming for test systems.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, power conversion principles, and common topologies.
  • Knowledge of safety certification processes (UL, CE) preferred.
  • Familiarity with VAVE methodology, cost optimization principles, and supplier component qualification.
  • Proactive, analytical, and result-oriented, with the ability to think critically and solve problems independently.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal in English).

Key Skills:

  • VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) implementation and testing
  • Power electronics testing (AC/DC rectifier, DC/DC converters, UPS)
  • Automation testing and scripting
  • Analog & digital electronics troubleshooting
  • Compliance & certification validation (UL, CE)
  • Test plan creation and execution
  • Cost optimization validation techniques
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Hands-on test and measurement capability (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.)
