Role Description

We are seeking an experienced QA/Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and API testing to join our agile feature teams. The role involves planning and executing comprehensive test activities for web applications related to Investment Proposition, including manual and automated testing, defect analysis, and full-cycle test management. You will also develop and extend in-house test automation tools and frameworks, collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters, and coach junior team members

Your key responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution
  • Plan and execute comprehensive test activities for investment proposition applications, including test analysis, test case creation, execution, and defect analysis.
  • Organize and manage full test cycles across environments, ensuring alignment with sprint goals.
• Automation Development
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, and UI tests) using Selenium with Java.
  • Extend and optimize in-house test automation tools and frameworks to support evolving business needs.
  • Able to create automation framework from scratch.
• Collaboration & Agile Delivery
  • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters within feature teams to build and maintain high-quality features.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and advocate for best testing practices.
• Coaching & Continuous Improvement
  • Mentor junior QA specialists and requirements engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to the evolution of testing strategies within the squad.

Your skills and experience

• Core Expertise
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Solid experience in requirements engineering for large-scale IT solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of test case definition, documentation, and usage of test management tools like HP ALM.
• Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience in web application testing using Selenium with Java.
  • Expertise in API testing with automation tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
  • Knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Core Competencies
  • Advanced analytical and communication skills with strong independence and initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery teams.
