The Engineering Executive will coordinate and oversee the takeover, operation, and maintenance of the Engineering systems. This includes conducting inspections, identifying defects, coordinating with service providers for rectifications, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations, and maintaining proper documentation. The Engineering Executive will also be responsible for preventive maintenance tasks and assisting in the evaluation and recommendation of an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for the fire system.
- Coordinate and schedule a thorough system inspection by a subject expertise service provider to identify defects and submit a report with recommendations
- Compile a list of identified fire system defects and submit it to the client
- Obtain quotations from service providers for the identified defects and evaluate and recommend them
- Coordinate to obtain approval for defect rectifications and arrange for the selected service provider to carry out the rectifications
- Coordination with the Landlord on fire detection/protection-related modifications, extensions & refurbishment projects
- Supervise and facilitate LL’s suppliers & client suppliers to carry out the jobs by issuing PTW for the fire protection, detection, NOVEC fire suppression & fire extinguisher system. Sharing the project status every week
- Coordination with service provider and Landlord to make sure the fire detection and protection contracts are in active condition
- Coordinate with the Landlord to ensure Fire pumps and sumps are properly maintained
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning of the fire system after defect rectification, witnessing the T&C
- Assist client, service provider, and landlord in submitting required documents for system operation and maintenance
- Assist in taking over a healthy fire system for operation, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Arrange and maintain documentation for preventive maintenance of the fire system
- Ensure record keeping of Handing over documents, local government docs, As-built drawings, and training records from a fire safety perspective.
- Report fire alarms and fire-related incidents or near misses
- Ensure smooth functioning of fire extinguishers, fire hydrant system & fire alarm system
- Any gaps identified during the fire detection and protection system maintenance activities should be corrected on time as per the principal contract SLA.
- Coordination with vendor and landlord in preparation of PPM schedule for Conventional fire detection system (Smoke & Heat), NOVEC fire suppression system at server room & UPS, Fire hydrant system, Sprinkler system, Fire horse reels and Fire extinguishers
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual maintenance activities are completed by the OEM vendor related to Fire detection and protection system
- Establish and oversee an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for key preventive maintenance tasks of the fire system, evaluating and recommending suitable providers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and regulations
- Experience in fire system inspections, defect identification, and coordination with service providers for rectification
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations relevant to fire systems
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to evaluate and recommend service providers for system maintenance tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to prioritize tasks
- Certifications in fire system management and maintenance will be an added advantage
