FDE Agentic Operations Engineer

This role is based in Pune. This location works on a hybrid model, 2-3 days in the office. You will be required to interview in person.

About the role

As an FDE Agentic Operations Engineer, you will operate at the cutting edge of AI and identity security, bridging Forward Deployed Engineering, Solution Engineering, Professional Services, and Product Management. In your day-to-day work, you will own the end-to-end execution of AI-assisted migration pipelines and demo environments. You will ingest complex customer identity artifacts, steer advanced multi-agent workflows, troubleshoot model outputs, and perform hands-on configuration within SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC). You will blend technical rigor with agentic tooling to accelerate customer time-to-value, validate AI-generated artifacts against real tenant behavior, and establish new standards for identity modernization.

About the team

You will join the Forward Deployed Engineering / Agentic Operations team, a high-impact technical group dedicated to accelerating customer onboarding and modernization through state-of-the-art AI automation. Our team builds, refines, and operates intelligent agentic pipelines that transform legacy identity environments into modern cloud architectures, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners across Sales, Product, and Engineering.

 
Roadmap for success

30 days:

• Complete SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and IdentityIQ (IIQ) foundational product training and internal onboarding.
• Shadow senior engineers on active agentic workflows and AI-assisted identity migration runs.
• Execute standard LLM and multi-agent migration pipelines, interpret model outputs, and log issues with structured diagnostic context.

60 days:

• Independently operate AI-driven modernization pipelines to process customer IAM data extracts and artifacts.
• Perform hands-on verification and remediation in SailPoint ISC tenant configurations, including sources, schemas, identity profiles, and lifecycle states.
• Identify and correct AI hallucinations, incomplete configurations, or edge-case anomalies, ensuring high data fidelity before sales or proof-of-value presentations.
• Produce complete Sales Engineer (SE)-ready demonstration packages, including runbooks, walkthrough scripts, and technical summaries.

6 months:

• Autonomously manage end-to-end customer proof-of-value (POV) tenant builds and complex legacy migration data flows.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Product, and Professional Services to resolve customer-specific identity challenges.
• Contribute enhancements to internal agentic prompts, evaluation benchmarks, and automation scripts (Python/Bash) to boost pipeline accuracy and throughput.
• Diagnose and escalate recurring platform or agent tooling bugs with reproducible test cases and remediation recommendations.

1 year:

• Serve as a subject matter expert for agentic operations, driving best practices for prompt engineering and multi-agent orchestration across the team.
• Architect and deploy new automation tooling, reusable workflows, and evaluation checks that shorten deployment cycles for enterprise migrations.
• Support foundational customer deployments and complex technical escalations alongside the Forward Deployed Engineering organization.
• Attain the SailPoint Certified Engineer or Solution Architect credential.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3–5+ years of professional work experience within an enterprise software company, systems integrator, or technology consulting firm
• 3+ years of hands-on software implementation, technical consulting, or pre-sales solution engineering experience
• Proven technical proficiency in modern technical infrastructure, including web services, APIs, application servers, databases, and enterprise directories (LDAP/Active Directory)
• Solid understanding of modern SaaS architecture, cloud infrastructure, and core AI/machine learning concepts
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability, with the ability to isolate root causes from system logs and unformatted customer data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting technical artifacts to cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to travel up to 15% as needed

 
Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of specialized experience in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) / IAM solutions
• Hands-on administrative or development experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) or SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ)
• Experience with competitive IAM platforms (e.g., Saviynt, Oracle Identity Governance, One Identity, RSA/Aveksa) and migration workflows
• Hands-on familiarity with agentic coding environments and AI developer tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar LLM orchestration frameworks)
• Practical scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for API integration, automated testing, and data transformation
• Professional security or industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, J2EE certifications, or SailPoint certifications)
