Role Summary
We are looking for a Finance Manager to take end-to-end ownership of the company’s finance and accounting function. The role will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, statutory compliance, cash-flow management, internal controls and financial planning, while partnering closely with management to support informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and oversee the end-to-end finance and accounting function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance across all financial activities
Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reports
Prepare and review MIS, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow statements and variance analysis to provide meaningful insights to management
Manage statutory compliances including GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable regulatory requirements
Oversee accounts payable, receivables, collections, payments, banking operations and bank reconciliations
Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial commitments, ensuring effective utilization and planning of funds
Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, banks and other external stakeholders and ensure timely closure of financial and compliance matters
Establish, strengthen and continuously improve financial processes, accounting systems and internal controls
Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts and adherence to applicable accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements
Support management with financial analysis, business planning, cost control and decision-making
Lead, guide and review the performance of the Finance & Accounts team, ensuring clear ownership and timely delivery of responsibilities
Must-Have Skills:
Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting and finance operations
Hands-on knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax and statutory compliances
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and working capital
Experience in managing month-end/year-end closing, audits and financial reconciliations
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Ability to independently manage financial processes and work closely with senior management
Strong attention to detail with a high level of financial accuracy and integrity
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience in a start-up, technology or fast-growing organization
Experience in building or improving finance processes, controls and reporting systems
Exposure to ERP implementation, finance automation or process digitization
Experience in handling cross-functional finance requirements and business partnering
