As a Global Quality Non-Volatile Memory Quality and Reliability Assurance (GQ-NVMQRA) Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will manage a staff of engineers and technicians to maintain quality and reliability of solid state drives (SSD) products. Working with a team of other managers, planners and technical experts, you will oversee area workflow and priorities, determine equipment needs, manage budgets, and ensure overall area performance to plan is achieved. You will also interact regularly with teams from other product Quality engineering teams (DRAM and NAND) to ensure continuous product quality support on Site. You will also collaborate with sites or departments to maintain alignment, improve area efficiencies and foster working relationships.
You'll required to perform managerial reviews and sign-offs while providing technical support and expertise. In addition, you will manage the overall performance and development of the team where you will be expected to provide regular performance feedback to team members, establish goals and development plans, and provide opportunities to expand skills and promote career growth.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Manage Staff, Workflows and Priorities
Define reliability flows and qualification criteria
- Evaluate requests and criteria from Internal and External customer
- Modify quality assurance priorities based on needs
Manage and Develop the Team
- Coach and provide career development
- Identify strengths and create specific development plans to improve cross-functional skills
- Establish goals and conduct performance appraisals
- Develop project management skills within the team
Determine Equipment Needs and Facilitate New Equipment
- Work with Global Quality Planners on forecast modeling
- Analyze resource utilization
- Identify lowest cost solution
- Budget for new equipment purchases
- Coordinate with the other departments on new hardware
Perform Quality/Reliability Manager Approvals
- Sign off or Modify Qual requests
- Perform Material Review Board (MRB) sign-offs
Provide Technical Support for Engineers
- Act as a backup for on-call quality assurance operations support
- Provide Engineering/Verify support and training to resolve issues
- Assist Engineering with data analysis
Be part of a global team
- Participate in regular Global Quality meetings
- Facilitate communication and maintain relationships with other sites
- Coordinate process alignment efforts and projects
- Provide other groups assistance to access, interpret, and bundle data
- Foster Customer Quality and Reliability Relationships at all levels of the Organization and Protect Micron and the Customer from Issues
- Escalate quality and reliability issues with significant risk to customer base
