As a Housekeeping Intern, you’re not just supporting daily housekeeping operations while gaining hands-on experience – you’re playing an important role in creating a welcoming hotel environment through attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality.
ResponsibilitiesHere’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- Support housekeeping operations: Assist with assigned housekeeping tasks under the guidance of supervisors and department leaders while gaining hands-on experience.
- Maintain cleanliness standards: Support the cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in line with hotel standards.
- Learn housekeeping procedures: Gain practical experience in room preparation, cleaning procedures, organization, and the use of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
- Pay attention to detail: Help ensure rooms and areas are presented to a high standard, paying attention to cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort.
- Support team collaboration: Assist Housekeeping colleagues and contribute to a positive, professional, and productive work environment.
- Follow health and safety standards: Follow established hygiene, safety, and hotel procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
