What this Job Entails:
The HR Business Partner II assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates proactively with the wider HR team and business in order to develop integrated solutions while minimizing risk. The position collaborates across the HR function to deliver a seamless and value-added service to the business that reflects the objectives of the organization, while supporting our employees. The most successful HR Business Partner will be highly motivated, committed to excellence, have a natural ability to build trusting relationships.
Scope:

Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues

Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Help to manage and execute HR programs & projects independently and as part of cross functional teams that address critical organizational and program needs

Using HR best practices, work with business leads to help drive a strong performance culture through employee coaching, development and feedback

Assists in development and execution on employee relations, performance management, engagement and retention activities, including an understanding of compensation and benefits

Review and analyze organizational and/or program metrics including data on attrition, retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements

Support the delivery of appropriate training and development programs to build career pathing capability

Assist in providing valuable input and expertise to Astreya’s executive and program management teams and all other employees on country and state specific employment law, HR policies, HR processes, ethics and compliance, compensation, etc.

Assist in nurturing, developing, and growing our greatest asset—our people

Support employee life cycle from onboarding to termination, including conducting exit interviews

Ensure proper documentation is in place for employment actions as required

Required Qualifications/Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Familiarity with the matrix environment
-
Broad knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply human resources concepts and best practices, to include knowledge of employment laws, such as Title VII, FLSA, EEOC, ERISA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA and other federal and state laws regulating discrimination and equal opportunity employment

Business and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical skills

Excellent communication Skills

Willingness to travel as needed (5-10%)
Preferred Qualifications:

SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR certified or global equivalency
-
Strong project/program management skills, with the ability to obtain buy-in and then drive execution
-
Consulting skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
-
Global experience preferred, APAC region expertise required
