We are now looking for an IT Product Architect - Application Management to join our Computer & Mobile Product Line. This is a critical role where you will architect, evolve, and govern Ericsson's global Application Management service, including our automation platform Patch My PC, Intune-based application lifecycle, packaging standards, and governance frameworks. As the application landscape grows in scale and complexity, this role strengthens our capability to deliver secure, reliable, and modern application experiences to 100,000+ colleagues globally.
About Employee Experience - Product Line Computer & Mobile
PL Computer & Mobile delivers managed End User Computing, Mobile Workplace and Endpoint Security to Ericsson's workforce globally. We manage approx. 200,000 endpoints across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, using Microsoft Intune as our Unified Endpoint Management platform.
Our mission is to deliver an industry leading computer & mobile experience to our Ericsson workforce. We do this based on our core principles; end-user experience, security, sustainability and economies of scale. Application Management is a core part of this mission. With thousands of applications in scope and increasing levels of automation, governance and security requirements, the role of a Product Architect is central to enabling Ericsson's modern workplace strategy.
Key responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end technical architecture of the Application Management service.• Define and maintain strategy, roadmap, design principles and standards for Patch My PC automation, Intune app packaging flows, application vetting and governance, and manual packaging (MSI/MSIX/PSADT).• Ensure the service adheres to Ericsson's platform architecture for security, compliance, quality and automation.• Lead the technical evolution of packaging pipelines (e.g., CI/CD for Win32/MSIX) together with DevOps engineers.• Drive modernization initiatives including increased automation, testing frameworks and integration opportunities.• Own the technical governance model: change management, application owner engagement, approval workflows and cross-domain integrations.• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Security, Architecture, Client Engineering, Intune Platform and Product Management.• Sponsor and technically steer strategic projects within application lifecycle modernization.
Key competencies
• Strong track record in Application Management, Application Packaging, and modern Intune-based lifecycle operations.• Deep understanding of Patch My PC and automation-driven application governance.• Expertise in Windows OS, MSI/MSIX, PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit, and enterprise packaging methodologies.• Solid understanding of macOS application packaging, including catalog-based distribution.• Strong competence in cloud-managed clients, Intune, Entra ID and Azure-based workplace architecture.• Understanding of application security, OS integrity risks, vetting processes and compliance controls.• Experience in CI/CD principles and automation frameworks used in application packaging/testing.• Ability to act as a technical leader: define direction, create standards, and communicate architectural decisions clearly.• Excellent stakeholder and vendor interaction skills; ability to represent Ericsson in technical architecture forums.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Application Management, Application Packaging, Unified Endpoint Management or related architecture roles.• Experience designing or operating Intune-based app lifecycle at scale (tens of thousands of clients).• Experience with Patch My PC or similar catalog-based app automation systems.• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security or related field.• Preferred location: Bangalore (prioritized) or Noida, India.
