In this role you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, from concept to production.
- Ensure software quality through thorough code reviews, testing, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and refine technical requirements.
- Contribute to system architecture and play a key role in technology selection.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Drive technical excellence and promote best practices across teams.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance performance and scalability.
- Guide architectural decisions to ensure long-term maintainability and system scalability.
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain platform reliability.
- Document solutions and maintain internal knowledge bases to support effective knowledge sharing.
You are a fast learner and are comfortable working with little direction. You take initiative and bring up ideas. In addition you have the following:
- Bachelors' degree in engineering and 8 to 12 years of working expereince in software industry.
- Proven expertise in Java OR Scala, with deep knowledge of backend architectures, distributed systems, and scalable infrastructure.
- Readiness to learn Java / Scala /Python if no experience at this area.
- Passion for learning and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges.
- Strong software design skills with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Hands-on experience with unit, integration, performance, and acceptance testing.
- Strong background in object-oriented and functional programming.
- Proficiency in HTTP, RESTful APIs, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with Apache Spark, Amazon Web Services and AWS EMR.

In this position you will get a chance to work with Core Content Publication team which is responsbile for publishing products in different formats like XML, CSVs, Json etc. and also develop tools/services which enables product creation.
