Lead Visual Designer 8-12 years’ experience (not counting internships) As part of Qualys Product Design team, Lead Visual Designer is an individual contributor and leads a team of 2-3 visual designers. He/She should have a deep understanding of visual design principles, typography, iconography, color, space etc. for enterprise level end users, technology and business goals. He/She should have strong problem-solving skills through visual experience design & communication design. An out-of-box thinker who can steadily push the envelope with latest industry trends. He/She should be able to design interfaces and workflows to enhance overall product experience. Strong foundation in design systems, UI specs & working with UI engineering teams. You will provide solid visual experience expertise across multiple product lines and cross functional teams, while maintaining uniformity in the product suite. Your innovative yet pragmatic visual solutions will drive customer delight & satisfaction across the Qualys product suite. Your Portfolio 4+ projects highlighting Visual Design/UI work for multi-channel tech/B2B/Enterprise. Should illustrate a fluent understanding of design fundamentals (color theory, typography, space, form, rhythm, composition, brand guidelines, etc.) Showcase strong data visualization visual experience design Your Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT or design studio. Note: Internship will not be considered as work experience Your Education Bachelor’s or Master’s in Graphic Design, Interface Design/Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, or Marketing or a related field from a reputed institute. ** Portfolio demonstrating Cyber Security Enterprise product design is an added advantage Responsibilities: ▪ Work cross-functionally with leadership and fellow designers within Qualys Product Suite to establish and organize the visual experience of the Qualys Platform experiences. ▪ Conceptualize, execute, and iterate on a compelling visual experience strategy & compositions for deployment across Qualys Product Suite ▪ Define & execute visual design guidelines/standards for Qualys Design System Job Description | 2023 © 2023 Qualys, Inc. All rights reserved. ▪ Maintain constant awareness of emerging visual design trends, crafting visual design to ensure we are fulfilling those needs. ▪ Take an active, hands-on role in to deliver enhanced visual designs – push the visual design envelope incrementally. ▪ Create the “single source of truth” – design systems, guides and specifications for implementation and reference. Use the Qualys Design System of established standards, style guides, and specification documents. Contribute & enhance the design system. ▪ Incorporate best practices of Figma and help identify inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement within the creative/visual design process. ▪ Effectively communicate & monitor/supervise the deliverables of concerned Visual Designers for consistency, detailed design, use of design components & libraries. ▪ Tracking & ensuring timely delivery of all project delivery milestones while closely working with project teams. ▪ Participate in design reviews, supplying guidance and constructive feedback in service of delivering world-class products and experiences. ▪ Ability to mentor junior / midweight visual designers and provide relevant feedback to improve quality against set standards. Help manage a small team of Visual Designers; support career trajectory and growth. ▪ Manage communication with internal colleagues and stakeholders. ▪ Added Advantage: Cyber Security Enterprise Software Domain Knowledge As a Lead Visual Designer with Qualys Inc., you must, ▪ 8+ years’ experience leading highly collaborative creative teams within global in-house creative environment. ▪ Inspire those around you while providing pertinent, actionable feedback. ▪ Proven experience partnering with creative professionals in the B2B Technology space. ▪ A vision for creative excellence and the ability to navigate through ambiguity to progress that vision through creative execution in a fast-paced environment. ▪ Highly proficient in design systems, pattern libraries, visual workflows & data visualization ▪ Proficiency in Figma, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite ▪ Confidence presenting creative ideas and concepts in a compelling manner. ▪ Results orientation in a high-growth, fast paced environment with a track record of delivering high-caliber brand/ creative work under tight deadlines. ▪ Ability to problem-solve with visual experience communication, comfortably wearing many hats as a self-starter. ▪ Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment with our dedicated team
