Lead – Trade Automation, Fund Solutions (VP Level)

Location: Pune/Bangalore

Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary and technically adept leader to head our Trade Automation initiatives. This VP-level role will be responsible for driving strategic automation projects across trade processing and reconciliation functions, integrating client trade data, and enhancing operational efficiency through cutting-edge technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain expertise in fund administration, strong technical acumen, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Delivery

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of trade automation solutions across fund services.

- Define and execute the automation roadmap aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.

- Champion process optimization and digital transformation initiatives across trade workflows.

Client Integration & Technical Oversight

- Oversee integration of client trade files into internal systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

- Collaborate with client service managers, product teams, and external vendors to gather requirements and deliver tailored automation strategies.

- Ensure high-quality delivery of ETL processes, data mapping, and exception handling.

Operational Excellence & Risk Management

- Ensure trade transactions are processed accurately and timely, adhering to SLAs and compliance standards.

- Monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows, proactively resolving issues and minimizing operational risk.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automated processes to support audit readiness and transparency.

Team Management & Collaboration

- Mentor and lead a team of analysts and specialists across trade automation and reconciliation domains.

- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

- Partner with global stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business priorities.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

- Advanced proficiency in SQL, VBA, MS Access, and Excel.

- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data mapping.

- Familiarity with Advent Geneva, Paxus, and market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv).

- Strong understanding of financial instruments including listed, unlisted, OTCs, derivatives, and private equity.

Domain Knowledge

- Deep expertise in Fund Administration, Trade Processing, and Capital Markets.

- Experience in managing large-scale automation projects and system migrations.

Leadership & Communication

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships globally.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
