Convert laser scan/point cloud data into detailed MEP BIM models (LOD 300-500) using Revit and point-cloud tools, perform clash detection and coordination with architectural/structural models, adhere to QA/QC and BIM standards, and deliver accurate as-built MEP models.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced MEP Scan-to-BIM Engineer with 3+ years of hands‑on expertise in converting point cloud data into accurate BIM models. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of MEP systems, BIM standards, and 3D modeling workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and interpret laser scan / point cloud data for MEP modeling.
- Develop detailed MEP BIM models (LOD 300–500) using Revit and other BIM tools.
- Coordinate with architecture and structure models to ensure clash-free MEP layouts.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using tools like Navisworks.
- Ensure adherence to project standards, QA/QC processes, and BIM execution plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver accurate as-built MEP models.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Scan-to-BIM workflows for MEP systems.
- Strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and point cloud processing tools (e.g., Recap, Faro Scene, CloudWorx).
- Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical & fire-fighting systems.
- Ability to read drawings, interpret scan data, and produce high-quality models.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
