We are looking for a passionate Junior Java Engineer to join our cyber intelligence team in India. You will have an opportunity to participate in developing state-of-the-art security technologies and contribute to major projects that help make our world safer and more secure.
As a Cognyter you will:
- Work as part of a high-performing, cross-functional Agile development team.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and CI/CD.
- Develop and maintain Java components and microservices in a distributed, cloud-native environment.
- Collaborate with global development teams, product owners, architects, and system integration engineers to solve technical challenges.
- Apply development best practices and take increasing ownership of assigned tasks.
For that mission you’ll need:
- BSc Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
- Good knowledge of Java 8 or later and related technologies such as Spring and JBoss.
- Understanding of backend concepts such as multithreading, REST APIs, WebSockets, and application servers.
- Exposure to developing microservices in cloud environments.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Gauge.
- Experience using Git and common branching and pull-request workflows.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to learn, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
An Advantage:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with web development technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, or React.
