Senior NMS Developer
Location: Chennai (Preferred) / Other Orion Locations
Role Overview:
As a Senior Network Management System Developer, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the NMS platform supporting Telesat’s LEO Lightspeed networks. The role involves working within an Agile SAFe framework to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality CNMS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance OSS/NMS systems for resource management, service monitoring, and fault management.
- Lead technical design and integration for Lightspeed network management.
- Drive vendor collaboration and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Maintain comprehensive CNMS documentation for transparency and efficiency.
- Develop YANG modules for modular resource and fault management.
- Design and maintain automated test suites for CNMS validation.
- Define and enforce network security standards and contribute to system-level modeling.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–10 years in a technical design and development role.
- Expertise in Layer 2/3 protocols, gRPC/gNMI/gNOI, HTTP/2, mTLS.
- Strong Python 3.x programming and BDD test framework experience.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, containers, and YANG/NMTS XML, YAML, JSON.
- Familiarity with Netcracker, ONAP, Blue Planet, or Amdocs tools.
- Knowledge of IP, MPLS, SR-MPLS, Ethernet, VLAN, MEF, and TMF Standards.

This role directly impacts network operations and control solutions for the Telesat Lightspeed network. It involves both individual contribution and team collaboration.
