Your Team:

Payroll is one of the most essential sectors of any company. The Global Payroll team is responsible for processing payroll in 32+ countries across the globe. We are responsible for over 7,00 employees that need to be paid accurately, on time, and given world class customer service for their paycheck and tax inquiries.

PTC is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to be an integral part of the payroll operations team, primarily supporting the payroll processing activities for India. This position will be based in Pune, India, reporting directly to the Payroll Supervisor. In-depth knowledge and previous experience processing payroll for the country of India is required for this position.

As experience increases, we will offer more challenging tasks and additional country payroll administration.
 

Your Impact:

In this role, our new team member will be initially responsible for payroll administration for our monthly assigned payrolls to ensure that employees are paid accurately and timely.

Your Day-To-Day:

• Help lead and oversee the administration of assigned payrolls, ensuring that payrolls are paid accurately and on time
• Ensure that the payrolls are compliant with relevant rules and legislation
• Oversee the validation and processing of payroll data to our external payroll provider
• Collect variable elements by HR and other business functions, including bonuses and taxable prizes
• Control and validate payroll, ask corrections if relevant
• Carry out problem and error analysis including period end validations
• Experience in Year End Tax Declaration, Reimbursements, EPFO liaison etc as required.
• Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., PF, ESI, Gratuity).

• Respond to employee inquiries in a courteous and timely manner
• Streamline and update existing standard work processes

• Assist with reconciliation processes and resolution of any payroll discrepancies

• Research and prepare special reports for management and ensure reporting needs within the company are met
• Assist with special projects related to the payroll function
• Maintain working relationships with business partners in other organizations, including Human Resources, Accounting, Legal, and Accounts Payable

• Work with cross-functional teams on global finance initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies including local data protection regulations and other internal controls
• Adhere to PTC’s policies and procedures as well as statutory regulations

Your Skills and Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of India payroll compliances & legislation is mandatory
• Exposure to ADP Payroll mandatory; experience with ADP GlobalView and ADP Celergo highly preferred
• Exposure to Workday HCM preferred;
• 3 - 5 years experience in a similar postion, multi-country payroll for the India and APAC region preferred
• Knowledge of excel functionality (vlookup, conditional formatting, data validation, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
• Working within strict deadlines;
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentially;
• Strong communication skills – oral and written;
• Ability to work remotely from the team;
• Open minded, flexible, proactive & interactive attitude;
• Fluent level of English is mandatory
