About PHI
At Prudential Health India (PHI), we are on a mission to make Indians healthier and bridge the country’s health protection gap. As part of a Zero-to-One initiative, PHI is building a greenfield digital health insurance platform designed to deliver empathetic, seamless, and personalized customer experiences.
To help us deliver world‑class, resilient, and high‑quality digital products, we are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who thrives in an agile, fast‑paced environment and is passionate about engineering excellence.
The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of PHI’s software systems through robust QA practices. This role combines hands-on testing (manual and automation), QA governance, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks across product journeys. You will collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, designers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases for a mission‑critical platform.
As a Senior QA, your typical week might include the following.
· Conduct functional, UI, integration, and regression testing to validate application features and workflows.
· Review and validate requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs for completeness and testability.
· Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned to business and technical requirements.
· Validate end-to-end workflows, data flows, and system integrations across PHI’s digital platform.
· Perform regression, sanity, and functional testing in pre-production environments before deployment.
· Lead small QA pods when required, ensuring clarity of work, defect prioritization, and stakeholder alignment.
· Manage defect lifecycle using tools like JIRA and X-Ray, ensuring accurate reporting and timely resolution.
· Ensure adherence to QA governance standards, including test coverage, documentation, and compliance processes.
· Conduct regular QA housekeeping activities—test data management, environment readiness, and audit compliance.
· Apply a proactive mindset in identifying risks, proposing mitigation plans, and improving testing processes.
· Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, product design reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
· Leverage observability tools, logs, and test automation to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
· Use AI tools responsibly to boost productivity in test management, analysis, and automation.
Automation & API Testing Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and execute automation scripts using Selenium and Python.
Perform API testing using Postman and JMeter to validate integrations, reliability, and performance.
Contribute to the development of reusable automation suites, frameworks, and regression packs.
Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD workflows in collaboration with Platform Engineering and DevSecOps.
You could be the right candidate if you have
· 4–6 years of hands-on experience in QA engineering (manual + automation).
· Strong knowledge of functional testing, UI testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
· Proficiency in API testing and test automation (Selenium, Python).
· Experience with JIRA, X-Ray, Git, and observability platforms.
· Understanding of QA governance, risk-based testing, and proactive defect prevention.
· Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
· Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
· Ability to lead small teams, drive improvements independently, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
· A growth mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and technologies.
