As a QA Engineer in the dbflow squad, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality and reliability of our automation solutions. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle—from analyzing requirements and designing test cases to developing automation features and executing tests across environments. Your work will directly impact the delivery of robust, scalable, and customer-centric solutions for Private Bank Germany.

Your key responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Define test strategy and prepare comprehensive test concepts aligned with sprint goals.
- Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, scripts, and data sets based on business requirements.
- Maintain QA-related project documentation and ensure traceability in tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Automation & Execution
- Develop high-quality automated test solutions using Selenium with Java and BDD frameworks (Serenity, Cucumber).
- Execute functional, non-functional, integration, and user acceptance tests across multiple environments.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman and SOAP UI, and conduct load/performance testing with JMeter.
- Report automated test results and collaborate with developers to resolve defects before production release.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, refinements).
- Work closely with developers, analysts, product owners, and deployment managers to ensure sprint objectives are met.
- Advocate for quality and continuously improve testing processes within the squad.
Your skills and experience
Core Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong experience in requirements analysis, test case creation, and execution.
- Proven expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium + Java preferred) and BDD methodology.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development best practices.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Java (v21), Maven for dependency management, and Git for version control (branching strategies, commits, merges).
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI) and performance testing tools (JMeter).
- Familiarity with Gherkin syntax for BDD scenarios and frameworks like Serenity + Cucumber.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL for data validation.
Tools & Platforms
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (ALM, Jira, TestRail).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation frameworks.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to retail banking domain and business-specific testing.
- Knowledge of runtime analytics and digital certificate handling.
