Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. As a Product Manager in consumer and community Banking , you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. Job responsibilities
- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Refines Epics into executable Stories for technology engineering teams that will deliver business value to a customer within one release
- Refines stories to a level of detail that will enable code to be written and tested without defects or requirement gaps; write acceptance criteria and generate test scripts
- Analyzes and verifies business requirements and acceptance criteria for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
- Drives timely refinement of Epics and completion/delivery of. Stories in order to meet sprint and release goals
- Participates in technical desk checks with engineers and Quality Analyst partners; identify, prioritize and drive resolution of critical defects
In partnership with product leads, participate in User Acceptance Testing with clear and documented testing goals and timelines in accordance with release cycles - Ensure timely resolution or risk acceptance of defects by prioritizing based on criticality using analytics and severity guidelines, while mitigating customer impact.
- Participates in monthly control checks, ensuring continued feature/capability accuracy either through automation or manual checks, recurring Agile ceremonies of aligned scrum teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Understanding the feature differences in features between Android and iOS platforms.
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Expertise and ability to communicate and translate business requirements into executable technical requirements
- Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading successful execution
- Demonstrated ability to manage to tight delivery timelines, maintain calmness under pressure, and operate in a sometimes-ambiguous and often-fluid environment
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and with JIRA
- Experience working in financial services, retail banking, branch, digital payments, online and mobile platforms, etc.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Experience with API-based designs, microservices, web services
- Ability to read code (React JS) and API service definitions in order to understand existing system behavior
- Web service and database technologies; appreciation of responsive web design
- Experience of working with JIRA, Adobe Experience Manager, and Figma
- Understanding of Quality Assurance best practices and various types of testing
