Project Management (PM) comprises project management for execution of cross-functional / geographical projects and programmes from initiation to completion. Covers determination of project / programme goals and support of business objectives and strategies. Ensures projects / programmes achieve their targets, keep their schedule, and maintain estimated cost, time, and quality within planned scope. Covers management of risks that affect the delivery of project outcomes.
Project Management Office & Support (PMO) develops and ensures the implementation of Nokia's project management methodology, processes, tools, improvement, and efficiency programmes to ensure all internal and external customer project deliveries are made efficiently and with quality.
• Assists and supports internal project management in development and implementation of appropriate Nokia Project Management methodology, processes, tools, improvement and efficiency programmes to ensure all internal projects* are delivered according within forecasted costs, time and required quality based on adequate mode of operation.
• Supports appropriate Nokia project management (PM) processes and tools improvement by collecting requirements and initiating change requests.
• Supports Project Manager in ensuring all documentation and information required for the project has been set up, maintained and are available to the project team
• Supports cost management by monitoring, reporting, analysing and managing the project execution progress against time, milestones, cost-related performance indicators and invoicing schedule agreed in the customer contract.
• Supports Project Manager in ensuring proper project’s resource handling set-up
• Contributes to gathering and communication best practice / lessons learned sharing within PM community.
• Supports Project Manager in ensuring project internal and external communication by (EG coordinating governance meetings, documenting and sharing minutes of the meetings).
• Creates reports using predefined templates and tools.
• Supports Project Manager in project planning, implementation of the plan and project closure.
• Ensures that all tools have been set up, for Project Management Office (PMO) team and internal project teams.
• Provides support to internal projects in managing the data in project management-related tools.
