Salesforce Developer (Apex, Lightning Web Components and Configuration Expertise)
Synechron is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and configure custom solutions within the Salesforce platform, supporting both business-critical applications and user engagement initiatives. Your technical expertise will enable the creation of scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions aligned with organizational goals. Software RequirementsRequired:
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce Apex programming language, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration tools such as Flows, Process Builder, Workflow, and Approval Processes
- Familiarity with Salesforce data management—including SOQL, SOSL, and DML operations
- Experience with Salesforce development environment, such as Salesforce DX and Visual Studio Code (VS Code)
- Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems
- Good understanding of Salesforce security and sharing models (Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules)
Preferred:
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Certified Advanced Developer)
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud setup and configuration
- Knowledge of Salesforce integration tools and APIs
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Salesforce testing frameworks
- Develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Data Teams, and Testers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design scalable, reusable, and extensible Salesforce components aligned with best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, implement unit tests, and ensure the quality and stability of Salesforce solutions.
- Keep updated on Salesforce platform releases and innovations; recommend incorporation into existing solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications, data, and integrations.
- Ensure compliance with Salesforce governor limits, security standards, and organizational policies.
- Document technical designs, configuration changes, and implementation guidelines.
Programming Languages:
- Essential: Apex, JavaScript
- Preferred: Visualforce (optional, as the focus is on Lightning Web Components)
Data Management:
- Essential: SOQL, SOSL, DML operations
- Strong data modeling, object relationships, and security configurations
Cloud Technologies:
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform and cloud features; experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud is a plus
Frameworks and Libraries:
- Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components is preferred
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Salesforce DX, Visual Studio Code, Git, Agile/Scrum development practices, TDD methodologies
Security Protocols:
- Knowledge of Salesforce security models such as Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Settings, and Data Visibility best practices
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on development experience on the Salesforce platform, including significant coding and configuration work
- Proven track record of designing and deploying end-user-facing Salesforce solutions
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce Community setup and configuration is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical Salesforce solutions
Note: Alternative pathways such as extensive project contributions or relevant certifications may qualify candidates with less direct experience.
Day-to-Day Activities- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings within Agile teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design technical solutions
- Develop, test, and deploy Salesforce components, applications, and configurations using best practices
- Review code written by peers, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to standards
- Conduct unit testing and assist with integration testing activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, or integration challenges
- Research and recommend new Salesforce features or tools to improve platform capabilities
- Document technical procedures and configurations, and update relevant documentation regularly
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, etc.) preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and declarative platform development
- Familiarity with development environments such as Salesforce DX, Git, and VS Code
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security and data sharing best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Effective team collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to learn rapidly and adapt to evolving platform features and project requirements
- Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deliverables

Overall Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure custom solutions within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning web components, and other Salesforce tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Business Analysts, Data Developers, and Testers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications and ensure their extensibility and reusability.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and execute unit tests and ensure the stability and reliability of the solutions.
- Stay current with the latest Salesforce features and advancements and suggest ways to incorporate them into existing solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Salesforce applications and integrations.
- Ensure compliance with Salesforce governing limits and best practices.
Technical Skills:
Software Requirements:
- Proficiency in Apex programming language and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with Salesforce configuration tools such as Flows, Process Builder, and creating Lightning web components.
- Proficient with Salesforce Triggers, Classes, and Batch jobs.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Process Automation tools, including Flows, Workflow, Process Builder, Approval Process, and Email Templates.
- Good understanding of Salesforce data sharing and security via Profiles, Permission sets, Public Groups, Sharing Settings, and Sharing Rules.
- Deep knowledge of Object and Object Relation, and strong data modeling background.
- Proficiency in DML operations, SOQL, and SOSL Statements.
- Ability to balance declarative and custom coding to meet business requirements and desired user experience.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and Salesforce test-driven development (TDD).
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud Setup and configurations.
- Familiarity with VS Code/SFDX for development and Git or Git-based products such as Bitbucket.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of heavy development experience in the Salesforce platform, including coding and configuration.
- Proven experience in designing custom end-user solutions.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce Communities Setup and Configurations is a plus.
