We are looking for an experienced SAP developer who can build both classic ABAP solutions and modern cloud applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will work across S/4HANA extensions, custom applications, and user-facing Fiori apps, and help bridge on-premise ABAP and cloud-native development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ABAP solutions, including reports, enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, DDIC objects, ALV outputs, and forms.
- Build and expose OData services using CAP (Node.js or Java) with CDS data models, service handlers, and business logic.
- Develop responsive SAP Fiori applications using Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 freestyle, including annotations, extensions, and Fiori Launchpad configuration.
- Integrate CAP services with S/4HANA and other SAP or non-SAP systems through OData, SOAP, REST, and APIs.
- Implement authorization, role-based access, and secure service design in CAP and ABAP.
- Deploy and operate applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry), including use of HANA Cloud, destinations, and service bindings.
- Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, code reviews, unit testing, and deployment support.
- Document technical designs, interfaces, and solutions for both internal teams and customers.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience, including ABAP OO, reports, enhancements, and performance tuning.
- Practical experience with OData services, either ABAP Gateway/RAP or CAP.
- Strong hands-on experience with CAP: CDS modeling, service definitions, handlers, and deployment.
- Solid experience with SAP Fiori/SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and annotation-driven UI development.
- Working knowledge of SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry, and SAP HANA (SQL, CDS views).
- Good understanding of web technologies: JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript (preferred), HTML, CSS, and REST/JSON.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with functional consultants and business users.
Good to Have
- Experience with ABAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming model) and/or Cloud ABAP.
- Exposure to SAP Business Application Studio or VS Code with SAP extensions.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI), Event Mesh, or SAP AI Core.
- Knowledge of S/4HANA Cloud extensibility or side-by-side extensions.
- SAP certifications in ABAP, CAP, BTP, or Fiori.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
