Main Purpose of the Position
To design, develop, implement, and continuously improve SAP Production Planning (PP) solutions that support KION’s manufacturing and supply-chain processes. The position ensures robust, scalable, and integrated SAP functionality by translating business requirements into high-quality technical solutions, collaborating with business and IT stakeholders, and providing expert support throughout the solution lifecycle.
Key Focus Areas include:
- Developing and enhancing SAP PP applications, interfaces, reports, and extensions.
- Supporting production planning, shop floor, master-data, and related manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring integration with modules such as MM, SD, QM, CO, and warehouse-management solutions.
- Driving SAP S/4HANA-compatible and standardized solutions.
- Troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring system stability and performance.
- Contributing to global projects, architecture decisions, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing
- You will develop, create, customize, enhance and test SAP PP objects and provide functional 2nd line production support.
- You have a strong understanding of SAP PP architecture, technical capabilities and limitations and do functional/technical consulting as needed
- You work with test documentation tools such as SAP Solution Manager
- You create system documentation including process representation of your own developments and customizations in Confluence
- You support and provide assistance to junior developers
