Purpose of the role:
- The key purpose of the role is assisting the Middle east payroll team on a day-to-day basis.
- This new position is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to make a positive impact on a dynamic business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist payroll team with processing the payroll cycle, including data input and final settlement calculations.
- Posting Payroll journals in JDE / Oracle.
- Perform payroll reconciliations, resolve variances and prepare various reports.
- Uploading payments in Banking platforms.
- Verify and audit payroll information to ensure accuracy, including tax withholdings (if any), benefits, and other deductions.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Professional & Technical skills:
- Computer literate, Microsoft Office i.e., Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- To have excellent English language skills in both written and verbal form.
- Must be able to communicate with internal offshore colleagues in a professional manner.
- Must have a keen eye for details.
- The ability to work collaboratively, building strong relationships with other accounting teams.
- Must have the ability to prioritise workload to achieve daily tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must be organised and able to be flexible.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- B’COM / MBA – Finance.
- 2-4 years’ experience in Payroll accounting role preferably Shared services environment.
