Senior Automation Developer

PTC is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Automation Developer to lead our AI & automation initiatives. In this role, you will design and implement advanced automation solutions, including RPA (Robotic Process Automation), APA (Agentic Process Automation), and IDP (Intelligent Document Processing), to address real-world business and operational challenges. You will shape our technology strategy, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable and effective automation systems that enhance PTC's functional productivity. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align automation initiatives with PTC’s Automation goals.
• Develop and lead automation solutions using, MS Power Platform, Automation Anywhere and GenAI tools to solve complex business challenges.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and internal audit functions to design and implement automation solutions that comply with security standards.
• Utilize Generative AI models and tools to enhance automation workflows and improve decision-making processes.
• Develop and maintain expertise in Power Platform and Automation Anywhere, ensuring smooth operation of workflows and Agentic AI-driven processes.
• Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with SOC standards for automation and AI solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation and AI-driven solutions, ensuring scalability and alignment with COE standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Citizen developers, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices.
• Participate in agile processes to ensure timely delivery of automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for automation and AI solutions in production environments, supporting debugging and performance monitoring.
• Demonstrate proficiency in generative AI techniques, including familiarity with LLM models.
• Lead PoC efforts to showcase AI & automation feasibility and value. Translate PoC results into production-ready pilots.
• Keep up to date with emerging Automation trends, tools, and frameworks.
• Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, and technical specifications.
• Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, DevOps engineers, and process managers to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions.
• Support the integration of advanced natural language processing techniques, such as Language Model (LLM) and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), into RPA workflows.
• Embrace diverse project scopes and adapt your approach to excel in dynamic environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of proven experience in architecting, designing, developing, and deploying Automation solutions using emerging technologies (RPA, APA, document processing).
• 1+ year of experience in Agentic Automation development using LLMs, GPT models and Azure AI & Microsoft copilot studio or similar tools
• Possess strong SQL knowledge and ability to write complex queries to analyze business requirements
• Proficiency in integrating Power Automate or Automation Anywhere with external applications like mainframes, databases, and APIs
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment with data engineers, data scientists, and automation developers.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and Java.
• Hands on experience with RPA tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Automation Anywhere.
• Certifications:  Microsoft Power platform solution expert preferred; Automation Anywhere Master Certified.
• Effective communication, presentation, collaboration and influencing skills.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies in automation projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
