Senior Business Analyst
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled & motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business insights, agile business analysis for data practices, leadership, communication, influence, strategy, and problem structuring. The candidate should also possess a BA certification, experience in data analytics, and knowledge of Agile BA practices. Preferably, the candidate should have experience in the airline industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Creatively obtain and vet data, develop and execute quantitative analyses with potentially incomplete data, and cross-check results to identify potential inconsistencies or limitations. Define detailed functional requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases, including gap and impact analysis.
- Business Insights: Understand business implications of observations, interviews, and analyses. Establish and support the rhythm of business activities related to reporting, including audit planning cycle and metrics.
- Agile Business Analysis for Data Practices: Define data loading, cleaning, and processing requirements or user stories for business intelligence/data analytics projects. Perform source data analysis for requirements study. Build data catalog or data mapping documents. Follow standard agile practices and maintain a healthy backlog with acceptance criteria that meet definitions of ready. Participate in data quality assurance test case reviews and requirements for data integrity checks.
- Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute key value creation (top and bottom line) and manage transformation initiatives.
- Communication: Craft polished written communications and deliver oral communications of findings and recommendations in an effective and efficient manner.
- Influence: Collaborate positively with project stakeholders to secure support and implement recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategy: Develop business segment strategies, research markets and competitors, articulate value propositions, and identify growth opportunities.
- Problem Structuring: Identify key issues, develop hypotheses, and create methodologies to verify or refute them.
Mandatory Technical skills
- Experience in data analytics tools & techniques: Solid background needed.
- Familiarity with methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, Trello): Necessary for project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Crucial ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Effective written and oral communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment: Key aspect.
- Strong leadership and project management skills: Important ability.
- Proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel, and basic Python: Essential for data analysis.
- Knowledge of process modeling, data modeling, and workflow diagrams: Beneficial for the role.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the airline industry: Preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates with BA Certification: Preferred.

Education: B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related technical degree OR Equivalent
