Job title: Senior Engineer - Water Structures (UK)
Qualification & Experience:
• B.E. Civil Engineering and/or M.E. / M. Tech Structural Engineering (preferred) from a recognized University.
• 8 to 11 years of relevant experience
Principal Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out the structural analysis and design of water/sewage treatment plant and non-plant structures (steel & concrete) in accordance with relevant Eurocodes and other International codes and standards.
- Building analytical models using structural software tools such as Autodesk Robot, Staad Pro, IDEA StatiCa, or similar.
- Preparation of structural design calculations, reports, loads and stresses related to different structures under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Working under supervision and guidance of Team leader on various projects in line with the Client requirement.
- Provide design input to CAD/BIM and co-ordinate with CAD/BIM staff for preparation of drawings.
- Liaison with other team members to produce good design solutions as per best design practice.
- Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Lead small to medium sized projects
- Building a profile in industry and keeping up to date with innovations and developments.
- Compliance of Arcadis business management system.
- Health & Safety Management.
- Awareness of sustainability best practices.
- Awareness of project commercials.
- Awareness of Arcadis digital strategies and takes interest and initiatives aligning towards digitalization.
- Good communication skills.
Required Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of British and European standards (mandatory). Familiarity with other International standards and practices related to Structural Engineering would be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge in structural design of water retaining structures.
- Ability to lead small to medium sized projects.
- Proficiency in various software’s used in Structural Engineering like Autodesk Robot professional, Staad Pro, IDEA StatiCa, etc.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and ACC.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
- A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Flexible to adopt new work as per business requirement.
