Senior Financial Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of month‑end financial reporting, while also driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.You will work closely with peers and your Supervisor, to ensure full compliance with accounting standards and deliver clear and insightful analysis to support informed decision making.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a continuous improvement mindset, excellent analytical capabilities, and the ability to independently manage complex and multi-entity accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Month‑end close and balance sheet ownership
Assume end‑to‑end ownership of the monthly balance sheet close, including preparation and review of reconciliations, balance sheet revaluations, and the investigation and resolution of complex variances and aged items.
- Prepare for the monthly accruals, journals and supporting schedules for various area including leases, employee provisions, FX and hedging, FCTR and borrowings etc, ensuring completeness, accuracy and strong audit trails.
Process improvement
Identify inefficiencies in current processes and recommend solutions to improve accuracy and timeliness.
Develop and implement streamlined procedures for balance sheet accounts and reconciliation.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure robust compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and financial controls.
Support group and subsidiary audits by providing timely and accurate documentation.
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with offshore teams including those in Australia, Philippines and other regions to align on deliverables and ensure timely completion of month-end tasks.
Ideally, the candidate is flexible to work earlier hours during month‑end to accommodate the time difference with Australia and support a smooth close.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CPA or CA (or equivalent) strongly preferred; postgraduate qualifications in accounting or finance are an advantage.
Minimum 5–10 years’ post‑qualification experience in financial accounting, with clear ownership of balance sheet management and month‑end close in a complex, multi‑entity environment.
Demonstrated experience operating in a multinational or listed/PE‑backed organisation with robust reporting and control requirements.
Technical Skills
Deep technical knowledge of financial accounting and reporting, including prepayments, amortisation, accruals, provisions and intercompany balances.
Strong expertise in lease accounting, employee provisions, FX and hedge accounting, FCTR and borrowings, with practical application under IFRS and Group policies.
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data analysis) and solid experience with mid‑to‑large ERP or finance systems (e.g. Certinia, SAP, Oracle or similar).
Proven track record in preparing and reviewing complex account reconciliations, balance sheet revaluations and high‑quality financial analysis.

Ability to operate autonomously as the senior technical accountant, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced month‑end environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with sound professional judgement and the ability to identify issues, assess options and recommend pragmatic solutions.
