Synechron is seeking a highly capable and dedicated Java Developer with MS SQL experience to lead the development of enterprise-grade applications. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based solutions that integrate effectively with MS SQL databases. As a key contributor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable, high-performance software. Software RequirementsRequired Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java (Java SE 8 or higher), including core libraries and Java best practices
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimization techniques
- Experience working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL is a plus)
- Experience with version control tools such as Git or GitHub
- Familiarity with build and automation tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and ANT
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
- Familiarity with front-end integration (HTML, JavaScript) is advantageous
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for deployment scenarios
- Hands-on experience with data modeling and performance tuning for MS SQL
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, reliable Java applications aligned with enterprise objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units and technical teams to gather requirements and define solutions
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure deliverables meet quality benchmarks
- Integrate Java applications with MS SQL databases, implementing stored procedures, triggers, and performance enhancements
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly, ensuring platform stability and security
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, testing, and adoption of best practices
- Mentoring junior team members and fostering adherence to architecture standards
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance application capabilities

- Essential: MS SQL Server, Data querying, stored procedures, and query optimization
- Preferred: Experience with other relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Frameworks & Libraries:
- Essential: Spring Boot, Hibernate ORM
- Preferred: Microservices frameworks, REST API implementation
Development Tools & Methodologies:
- Essential: Maven, Jenkins, Git/GitHub, IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse
- Preferred: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
Design & Architecture:
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise integration patterns
Security & Best Practices:
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, data privacy, and compliance standards
- A minimum of 5+ years in Java application development within enterprise environments
- Proven experience leading development teams or projects successfully
- Extensive hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, including performance tuning and complex querying
- Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, high-availability enterprise applications
- Experience working with Agile and DevOps practices in fast-paced environments
- Industry experience in financial services, banking, or enterprise solutions is a plus
- Design, develop, and enhance Java-based applications and services
- Write efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with project needs
- Collaborate with other developers, QA teams, and business analysts during sprint planning and reviews
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for applications and database queries
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and documentation efforts
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to improve code quality and productivity
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE or related credentials are preferable
- Demonstrable track record of successful Java projects in enterprise environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering robust solutions
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven leadership and team collaboration abilities
- Adaptability to rapidly changing requirements and emerging technologies
