As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of the team that modernizes and enhances the platform services that power mission-critical applications.
You will contribute to the design, development, and operation of highly available, scalable, and reliable microservices on Google Cloud Platform. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong cloud expertise, software development skills, and the ability to solve complex challenges in distributed systems.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the next generation of the client’s SaaS platform, leveraging AI to improve customer service in the Contact Center.
- Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable, and reliable microservices.
- Apply expertise in cloud computing, software technologies, and open-source tools to solve complex platform challenges.
- Gain deep knowledge of existing systems and actively contribute to their design and modernization.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and diving deep into the software stack.
- Collaborate with peers in a high-performing team environment, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
- 6+ years of software development experience in Java with Spring Boot
- 3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure).
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven experience designing and building highly available, scalable applications.
- Strong understanding of cloud design principles, virtualization, distributed systems, load balancing, networking, event processing, large-scale data storage, and security.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, App Engine, and Cloud SQL.
- Familiarity with Continuous Delivery practices, including development, testing, deployment, and management on GCP.
