Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Agent Workspace team and help shape core agent experiences. You will contribute to how support teams work in Zendesk day-to-day—helping agents stay oriented, move faster, and collaborate effectively while handling customer queries across channels.
In this role, you’ll apply a solid foundation of design skills to simplify complexity, reduce friction, and bring clarity to user interactions. You’ll work as an active collaborator alongside product managers, engineers, content designers, and cross-functional partners to translate project requirements into high-quality, user-centered design solutions.

What You Will Get to Do Every Single DayOwn & Deliver Design Tasks: Take ownership of assigned workflows in the Agent Workspace, creating intuitive interaction designs that help agents triage, prioritize, and resolve customer issues efficiently.
Rapid Prototyping & Iteration: Build quick prototypes to test ideas early, gather feedback through usability testing, and iterate designs based on data and real user interactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner actively with Product Managers, Engineers, and Content Designers to turn product goals and user needs into usable, high-quality experiences.
Manage Project Timelines: Effectively navigate design challenges, prioritize tasks, and manage project timelines to deliver reliable design solutions within given constraints.
Global Alignment: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners across different geographies and time zones (including teams in the U.S.) to ensure consistent design outcomes.
Continuous Craft Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to refine your design techniques, stay up to date with industry best practices, and share knowledge with peers.
Foundational Design Experience: 3-6 years of product design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design processes, interaction patterns, and problem-solving.
B2B / SaaS Curiosity: Exposure to or strong interest in complex, workflow-heavy products (e.g., customer support tools, CRMs, operations, or enterprise B2B SaaS platforms).
Core Design Competencies: Solid foundation in interaction design, visual design, information architecture, and basic systems thinking.
Tool Proficiency: Strong skills in Figma, hands-on experience with modern prototyping or AI tools (e.g., Lovable, v0, Claude), and familiarity with user testing methods.
Communication & Teamwork: Ability to articulate design concepts clearly and engage in constructive discussions with cross-functional teammates.
Growth Mindset & Ownership: Proactive approach to learning, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and commitment to creating an inclusive, collaborative workplace.
Please note that Zendesk can only hire candidates who are physically located and plan to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra. Please refer to the location posted on the requisition for where this role is based.
Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
