We are seeking a Product Specialist for our Targeting Analytics Product Management team to support the evolution of our Merchant Analytics product suite. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical depth, and a strong customer-centric mindset.
Role Summary
As a Product specialist, you will play a hands-on role in the design, development, and enhancement of Mastercard’s Merchant Analytics product suite. You’ll work directly with data, define product requirements, perform detailed analysis, and collaborate closely with engineering, design, and program management teams to bring scalable analytics products to life. You'll be deeply involved across the product lifecycle—from ideation and backlog management to UAT and production monitoring-ensuring that every feature shipped delivers meaningful value to our customers.
You will also partner with commercial teams to support product rollouts, build internal documentation, and troubleshoot issues as part of a lean, agile, and high-impact product team.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Management
Define business and technical requirements for product enhancements and new solutions.
Lead product backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reviews in an Agile environment.
Guide the technical roadmap in partnership with engineering and design teams.
Operational Excellence
Collaborate with senior project delivery consultants to identify key findings, prepare effective presentations, and deliver recommendations to clients
Lead product operations for ongoing enhancement, automation, and delivery.
Promote and institutionalize documentation best practices for knowledge continuity.
Client Impact
Independently identify trends, patterns, issues, and anomalies in defined area of analysis, and structure and synthesize own analysis to highlight relevant findings
Translate client problems into actionable product requirements.
Collaborate directly with clients and delivery teams to shape and refine solutions.
Ensure solutions are designed to generate measurable value and customer success.
Lead internal and client meetings, and contribute to project management
Cross-functional Leadership
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within cross-functional teams.
Serve as a mentor for junior analysts and product contributors.
Drive adoption of product management processes and tools across the team.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
4-9 years of overall career experience in Performance Analytics or 2-3 years post MBA/Masters experience In Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ years in Agile product management
Strong experience with SQL and Python for data analysis.
Exposure to big data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PySpark)
Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize key findings
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify technical topics.
Proven experience influencing diverse stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Experience embedding ML models into analytical platforms.
Familiarity with Studio frameworks, Agile rituals, and CI/CD tools.
