This is a remote position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Own product strategy and roadmap for commercial workflows (quoting, rating & pricing, and booking) across air and ocean freight movements, including self-service capabilities for end customers.
● Partner closely with engineering and design to translate deep domain knowledge of freight commercial operations (contract vs. spot rates, margin/markup logic, RFQ/RFP handling, quote-to-booking conversion) into enterprise-grade product requirements.
● Evaluate and incorporate emerging technology (AI/ML and agentic approaches to quoting and dynamic pricing, real-time rate distribution, and evolving industry data standards) to keep the platform ahead of where the market is heading.
● Run structured discovery with logistics operators and industry experts to validate and prioritize the roadmap.
● Partner with commercial and go-to-market teams to ensure the roadmap reflects real buyer needs and competitive dynamics.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● 6+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise software, with a substantial portion focused on commercial/pricing systems for freight and logistics operators (quoting, rating, booking).
● Prior experience as a Product Manager, at a logistics/freight technology provider, or within a large logistics company’s internal technology team, specifically on commercial or pricing systems.
● Deep domain expertise: air/ ocean contract and spot rate management, RFQ/RFP handling, quote-to-booking conversion.
● Strong customer engagement skills: comfortable running discovery, demos, and structured feedback sessions directly with senior logistics stakeholders, and translating that input into clear product decisions.
● Strong technical fluency: comfortable working with APIs, rate engines, and system integrations, and translating them into clear product requirements.
● Track record shipping enterprise software end-to-end, from discovery through launch and iteration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Fluency in emerging trends shaping freight commercial technology: AI/ML and agentic approaches to quoting and dynamic pricing, digital rate distribution and marketplace models, real-time carrier connectivity, and evolving industry data-exchange standards.
● Experience designing products intended to scale and adapt as industry standards and buyer expectations evolve.
● Familiarity with relevant industry bodies, standards, or trade associations in air/ocean freight.
● MBA or technical background is a plus, not required.
SUCCESS METRICS (FIRST 6–12 MONTHS)
● Roadmap delivered against commitments for the commercial capability area; strong adoption and feedback from early customers.
● Emerging-trend research and structured customer discovery reflected in concrete product and architecture decisions.
