Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. This role involves technical leadership, project management, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards.Job Description
About the Role:
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff
- Coordinate with architects, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Prepare and review tender documents, cost estimates, and contract documents.
- Implement change control processes.
- Proactively identify risks and issues and formulate risk mitigation plans.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or construction-related issues.
- Provide timely regular reporting on project progress, cost, key risks, and decisions required.
- Assess and resolve site coordination issues.
- Carry out contract administration duties including issuing payment certificates.
- Manage the planning and implementation of Health & Safety before and during construction.
- Manage and coordinate the project handover and close out phases
- Support continuous improvement in engineering practices and project delivery
About You:
- BE or Diploma in Civil
- 8 Years & above of relevant experience in Hospital / Commercial / Hotel / Industrial / Warehouse.
- Strong knowledge of civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, ETABS)
- Prior experience in Project Management consultancy preferable
- Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
