Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills combined with deep knowledge of SAP BTP services, integration technologies, and cloud-based solutions. This role involves managing end-to-end delivery of SAP BTP projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership:
- Plan, execute, and deliver SAP BTP projects on time, within scope, and budget.
- Define project objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
- Technical Oversight:
- Oversee design and implementation of SAP BTP solutions including SAP CAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP API Management.
- Ensure integration with SAP and non-SAP systems using OData, REST, SOAP, and event-driven architectures.
- Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, security standards, and data governance policies.
- Team Management:
- Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior consultants, and foster collaboration.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on SAP BTP roadmap and recommend innovations for performance optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience:
- 10+ years in IT project management, with at least 4-6 years in SAP BTP projects.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale SAP implementations or digital transformation projects.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of SAP BTP services (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, Business Application Studio).
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and related modules.
- Project Management Skills:
- PMP / PRINCE2 certification preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- SAP certifications in BTP or related areas are a plus.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to SAP Fiori Design Guidelines, SAP Build Work Zone, and Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
- Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
