Why this job’s a big deal:As a Senior SDET in the Product Operating Model (POM), you are a strategic quality leader responsible for defining and driving automation strategy, test architecture, and quality standards across products.
This is not just a test execution role — you will own automated regression implementation at scale, embed quality engineering into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure reliability in complex FinTech and cloud-native systems where precision and data integrity are critical.
You will influence engineering practices, prevent defects through early quality integration, and ensure products are scalable, performant, and production-ready.
In this role, you will get to:1. Automation Strategy & Test Architecture
Design and own scalable, maintainable automation frameworks
Lead implementation and optimization of automated regression suites
Drive automation-first practices across squads
Architect API, UI, integration, and end-to-end automation solutions
Integrate testing deeply within CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation
Improve regression execution time, stability, and coverage
Define test strategy for high-volume transactional systems (FinTech domain)
2. Quality Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design to define quality standards upfront
Review technical designs with a quality and risk-based mindset
Lead root cause analysis for production defects and drive preventative solutions
Mentor mid-level QEs and developers on automation best practices
Advocate for shift-left testing and continuous quality engineering
3. Advanced Testing & Risk Management
Validate complex workflows including:
Financial transactions
Reconciliation processes
Data integrity and ledger validation
Microservices and distributed systems
Drive non-functional testing (performance, reliability, resilience)
Identify quality risks and mitigation strategies early in the SDLC
Ensure release readiness through data-driven quality insights
4. Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Define and track automation coverage and regression health metrics
Improve defect leakage rate and regression reliability
Provide leadership visibility into quality posture
Continuously enhance tools, frameworks, and quality processes
Influence cross-team quality standards within the organization
Who you are:
You are a quality engineering leader who thinks like a developer and acts like a product owner for quality.
6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / SDET roles
Strong programming expertise (Java / Python / Kotlin preferred)
Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch
Deep hands-on experience with tools like:
Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
RestAssured / API automation frameworks
Strong CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Experience testing microservices and distributed cloud systems
Exposure to FinTech systems (payments, invoicing, reconciliation, high-volume transactions) preferred
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
Strong analytical skills and ability to debug complex system issues
Experience leading quality initiatives across squads
