Senior SRE

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure that our platform is stable and responsive 24*7, and you will enhance current software solutions to make them more stable.  Collecting data and generating actionable insights is what IAS does.  The CRE team ensures that our data is provided promptly and accurately, meeting and beating customer’s expectations.  On the CRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to address the complex challenges of scale that few companies have while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design. This role will be worked on a hybrid basis in our Pune office location.

 What you’ll get to do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems' reliability, availability, and performance.

• Implement and maintain automation tools for monitoring, deploying, and scaling applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal impact on the production environment.

• Participate in the design and architecture of systems to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Work closely with software engineers to promote and implement best practices regarding reliability and efficiency.

• Develop and maintain scripts and tools, with a strong emphasis on expertise in Python.

• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents promptly.

• Continuously analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Who you are and what you have:

• 7-12 + years of experience as an SRE or closely related role in Systems Engineering or Production Support

• Ability to program using languages like Python, Bash etc.

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet ..etc

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Working knowledge of Kubernetes

• A proactive approach to identify the problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas of improvement

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

• Self-motivated and positive mindset to examine any incidents

What puts you over the top:

• Understanding of Big data (Hadoop / Hive / Spark), Airflow, Data Pipelines

• Advanced programming ability

• Familiarity with databases, both SQL and NoSQL.

• Previous exposure to microservices architecture.

• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional DevOps Engineer.
