As a Senior Software Developer in Test, you will be an integral part of our Data Insight product engineering team, supporting and enhancing solutions used by Vena’s 1,700+ growing customers. How You'll Make an Impact
- Analyse existing products and features to define and refine test requirements.
- Write, maintain, and manage automated UI, API, and data validation tests.
- Take full ownership of test planning and execution, ensuring alignment with team and product objectives.
- Contribute to building and implementing effective testing methodologies, including automated frameworks such as Playwright and Rest-Assured.
- Conduct code reviews for test scripts and frameworks to maintain high-quality standards.
- Adopt AI-assisted testing tools, LLM-driven automation, and intelligent data validation techniques to accelerate development, improve coverage, and detect edge cases.
- Design and execute tests specifically for Power BI dashboards, data pipelines, and integrated BI systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
- Proactively identify gaps in test coverage, technical debt, and flaky tests, taking ownership to resolve them.
- Partner with other developers to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, while evaluating and adopting new technologies to improve testing efficiency and maintainability.
- Guide and support team members to build skills and understanding.
We'd Love to See
- 5+ years of experience in test development, with at least 3+ years of hands-on automation testing experience.
- Working experience with Java and familiarity with modern web technologies (React, JavaScript).
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and software fundamentals, including test design for UI, API, and data validation.
- Experienced with development and bug tracking tools such as GitHub and JIRA.
- Proficient in relational databases and SQL (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2) and comfortable analysing data across pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools, LLM-driven automation, and modern data quality practices to enhance coverage and efficiency.
- Thorough, detail-oriented, and analytical approach, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while mentoring others.
- Hands-on experience testing Power BI dashboards, validating data pipelines, and ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance across integrated BI systems.
The salary range for this role is ₹ 1,632,860 to ₹ 2,209,163 per annum.
