Position Overview

Autodesk Fusion 360 is design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing software, all-in-one. It enables our customers to connect their entire product development process into one cloud-based software with integrated 3D CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB. You will join our Fusion 360 Design team to deliver performant 3D CAD capabilities to our customers.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated software engineer to join our team. The Fusion Performance Team provides all the Performance support to the whole Fusion application. The position requires to contribute as primary developer in designing and implementing software related to performance.

This is a hybrid position in Pune. You will report to Manager, Software Development.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation

    • Develop high-quality, secure, stable code for use in products and graphics solutions for customers

    • Ensure new code conforms to established coding standards and meets the design specifications

    • Ensure new code follows best security practices

    • Maintain, troubleshoot, and debug code, as required

    • Test newly developed features to ensure they are functioning properly

    • Document new code and features developed, including changes to existing code

  • Agile Development

    • Understand, embrace and promote agile methodologies, principles and values within the team

    • Participate in team retrospectives and feedback loops to improve on future iterations

    • Participate in daily team scrum meetings

    • Provide the Product Owner with any support required to facilitate their backlog grooming

    • Participate in sprint planning sessions

    • Demonstrate product increments in sprint reviews

  • Functional Requirements

    • Continually refine understanding with other engineers about high- and low-level technical details, product goals, and user need

    • Work with Product Owner and/or Product Manager/Team to understand and help refine functional requirements for new products or upgrades and have a clear understanding of what definition of "done" is

    • Contribute to cost-benefit analysis by providing estimates for the features and determine feasibility of each feature

  • Software Architectural

    • Have knowledge of software architecture tools and techniques

    • Can provide an architecture-aligned solution

  • Other Responsibilities

    • Develop your empathy for the customer experience

    • Identify and complete at least one training opportunity

    • Develop depth in at least one technical area, but breadth in numerous areas to be a greater asset to the team

    • Mentor and provide direction to less experienced software engineers regarding company development processes and product architecture

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5-8 years hands-on programming experience with computer programming

  • Solid working experience with C++

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand architectural fundamentals

  • Fluent and concise English communication, written and oral

  • Education: Candidates of BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD software usage or development is a plus

  • Experience with developing large desktop applications in a modular, componentized manner

  • Experience with Agile methodology

  • Familiarity with test automation tools & strategies
