- Delivering platform security for major enterprises applying security best practices to help our customers with Rubrik as a last line of defense
- Developing a platform for protecting relational PaaS databases across clouds.
As a Senior Software Engineer you are a lead in the team responsible for execution of deep problems working with few other engineers. We expect all our engineers to be self-starters and our Senior Software Engineers to be leaders bringing drive, ideas and acumen. Our goal is to motivate and challenge people to do their best work. What you'll Do- Build our cloud native protection software using your strong background in distributed systems and cloud.
- Taken on open ended problems and drive the investigation and initial scoping
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software.
- Own individual project execution and delivery
- Mentoring and guidance to other team members
- Collaborate with partner teams such as Product Management, QA, UI, UX, documentation and support teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field
- 4+ years of relevant work experience,
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages like Go, Java, C/C++, Scala, Python
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP or other public cloud technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, microservice architectures is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to review deeply and expertly design and code artifacts.
- Strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, design patterns, and software engineering principles. Understanding of continuous improvement principles and what it means to raise the bar.
- Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills. Track record of mentoring other team members. Has worked on deep, complex problems independently or as part of a team on making an impactful delivery.
