Senior Software Engineer - Java/Spring Boot/AWS/Streaming/DevOps

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a Senior Software Engineer –Java/Spring Boot/AWS/Streaming/DevOps you should have experience with:

• Designing, developing, and building applications in Spring boot using Java.
• Well versed with JDk21 & Spring boot 3.X
• Should understand Design principles .
• Knowledge of Junit & Integration testing.
• Well versed with CI CD pipelines.
• Handson knowledge of writing codes and well versed with performance tuning and imlementation
• Good to have knowledge of Contract testing and Chaos testing
• Knowledge of Streaming will be an advantage.
• Good to have working knowledge of cloud platforms .
• Knowledge of MongoDB or any SQl DB is an advantage
• Knowledge of langchain . Langraph/CrewAI for Agent Workflow  for AI development good to have.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Strong experience in API development
• Proficiency in Java-based application(MicroService/MVC)
• Familiarity with Event driven design principles.
• Experience with database validation and SQL queries.
• Knowledge of AWS or any cloud platform
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Good to have python knowledge.
• Experience working in financial services or regulated environments.
