Senior Software Specialist
PTC is seeking a Software Development Engineer with strong expertise in Core Java and modern software engineering practices. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications while delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable software in an Agile environment.
POSITIONAL ATTRIBUTES
A self-driven software engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, passionate about building high-quality software. Demonstrates ownership, writes clean and testable code, collaborates effectively across teams, and has a customer-first mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications.
- Write clean, reusable code and develop unit/integration tests.
- Participate in application design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.
- Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability while documenting key technical designs.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, OOP, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit.
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
