Pre-Sales Team grows customer count and revenues in key verticals including enterprise and business services, retail, eCommerce, Financial Services & Media. We facilitate the adoption of our new and emerging technologies. Supporting the largest customers regionally and working independently, we are passionate about securing and accelerating customers digital assets.

Partner with the best

You will be at the heart of sales process, acting as trusted technical advisor supporting customers in adopting Akamai's cloud, security, and AI-driven solutions. You will help demonstrate the value of Akamai's application security, API protection, Zero Trust, and emerging AI Security capabilities. You will enable customers to innovate securely at scale. The role may involve travel of up to 30% across India.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving revenues by managing the pre-sales technical process and evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers
  • Understanding Customer's business requirements, translate them to technical problems, and map them to Akamai solutions.
  • Driving new product & service offering, support & educate sales, marketing, other departments, contribute to global SE community.
  • Ensuring that customers understand the proposed solution, integration methodology, integration timeframes, and risk associated with the solution.
  • Overseeing customer proposals with sales, ensuring that technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are properly defined.
  • Driving new product &service offering, support & educate sales, marketing, other departments, contribute to global SE community.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree & 10+ years experience in Internet technologies, standards and protocols, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web architecture and design
  • Have 6 years of relevant experience in technical pre-sales/sales engineering/consulting and/or customer facing role consulting on, delivering technical products or services
  • Have knowledge in Application, API, Web Security & Infrastructure security including firewalls and Optional knowledge of emerging AI Security trends
  • Have experience or understanding in Internet applications architecture and design
  • Have knowledge of Cybersecurity fundamentals and Threat landscape and Optional knowledge of Cloud Technology and Media
  • Demonstrate good written/verbal presentation skills and stakeholder collaboration
