We're looking for an experienced Senior Staff Engineer to join our Platform team within the Core Platform Services organization,where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a state-of-the-art platform that redefines how workloads are deployed and managed across the company. As part of one of the fastest-growing teams at Zscaler, you will work in an agile, dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technologies to tackle cloud scalability and reliability challenges. Your contributions will directly impact the operation of a mission-critical product that is essential to our customers' success. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Build scalable and maintainable tools, APIs, and systems to support infrastructure and development teams.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Use tools like Trivy, Grype, or Anchore to scan for vulnerabilities in container image
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 9+ years of experience in software engineering with a demonstrated focus on DevOps practices and Proven ability to design and implement scalable systems in production environments.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Go, Java, or Rust & Expertise in containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, tools, and techniques, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Knowledge of container image signing and content trust frameworks like Cosign or Notary.
- Experience in patching and securing software in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK Stack.
