As an Applied R&D Engineer 4 - IVT, you will be a key member of our team, working closely with product development and testing experts. Your primary focus will be to understand product behavior, support customers with issue debugging, and handle product testing and automation scripting. With a solid understanding of TCP/IP and Layer 2/3 networking protocols, you will contribute to the development and improvement of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities- Work closely with product development and testing teams to understand product behavior and requirements.
- Support customers by debugging and resolving issues related to our products.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for product testing, including E2E (end-to-end) testing.
- Automate testing processes and create efficient scripting solutions to enhance productivity.
- Possess a strong understanding of TCP/IP and Layer 2/3 networking protocols, ensuring effective product development and testing.
- Have experience with TR-069, TR-98, and TR-369 (USP) protocols, enabling seamless communication and interaction with our products.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of WiFi fundamentals and WiFi Mesh networking, allowing for effective testing and support.
- Apply functional, performance, and soak testing methodologies to ensure the reliability and performance of our products.
- Execute TR-98/TR-369 tests with Agent and Controller setups, ensuring compliance and compatibility.
- Continuously improve and document automation frameworks, testing strategies and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with internal PT and hosting teams to align testing with infrastructure goals and deployments.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, testing, validation and delivery of high-quality test solutions
You have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the telecommunications or networking industry.
- Strong development and automation skills, with a proven track record in scripting and testing.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Layer 2/3 networking protocols, including experience with TR-069, TR-98, and TR-369 (USP).
- Basic knowledge of WiFi fundamentals and WiFi Mesh networking is preferred.
It would be nice to have:
- Ability to write detailed and comprehensive test plans, with experience in E2E testing.
- Proficiency in functional, performance, and soak testing methodologies.
- Experience with TR-98/TR-369 tests and Agent/Controller setups is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.
