Position Overview:
The Senior Automation Test Engineer is responsible for the testing and validation (T&V) of the product releases, enhancements and patch releases. This will done primarily using automation testing using the Playwright software, and manual testing where necessary. Working closely with the Senior Product Test Engineer and Product Manager, they are responsible for delivering a high-quality system to our client (endpoint’s internal OPS teams).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for testing through the entire lifecycle of a project, including test case development, execution and verification.
- Tracking and reporting software defects, along with verifying resolved issues in ticket tracking application.
- Analyzing the test strategy and test cases, and writing automated test scripts using Playwright, running the tests and reporting using the tool.
- Continuously improve the automation test coverage
- Understand and setup automation running of tests using the Azure DevOps platform
- Assist in on-going process improvement for test case management.
- Manages defects and reports testing status to product development teams and Lead Product Test Engineer.
- Support validation efforts by acquiring evidence during testing phase, as well as generating validation reports at cycle end.
- Follow all current processes (Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions) for T&V cycle in Product Development.
- Proactively works to understand the major components of the product through training and project assignments.
- Displays commitment to excellence and quality.
- Document traceability between testing, system requirements, and product requirements documentation in a timely manner.
- Complete all testing deliverables at the end of the testing cycle.
- Demonstrate efficient and accurate completion of all responsibilities.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience
Experience:
- 2-4 years’ experience working in software development or software testing/ Quality Assurance · 2+ years of automation testing, preferably using Playwright
- Experience in full Test lifecycle, including test strategy, test script creation, executing tests in headed and headless modes, reporting errors and tracking updates.
- Experience in integrating tests using CICD pipelines and automated execution, preferably in Azure DevOps. · Strong ability to understand technical software concepts and comfortable interacting with databases.
- An high-level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and a proven ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professionals. · Previous experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment preferred.
- Prior experience testing voice (IVR) web (IWR) and mobile (IMR) platforms a big plus
