Crunchyroll is seeking a strategic and growth-driven Senior Social Media Manager to lead social strategy and brand growth in India. This role will define and drive social strategy for India, lead campaigns, influencer and community-building initiatives, and independently own and scale YouTube for the India market.
The Senior Social Media Manager will partner with the existing social team to ensure seamless execution across platforms.
While the primary focus is India, the role will also provide strategic and execution support to MENA during a transition phase, collaborating with regional stakeholders as we evolve our long-term market approach in MENA.
This is a high-impact role requiring both strategic thinking and strong executional leadership within a fast-growing entertainment brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Growth Leadership- Define and own social media strategy aligned to marketing priorities, content launches, and cultural moments.
- Translate brand and business goals into measurable social growth objectives.
- Own campaign strategy for the markets, driving brand growth and audience expansion.
- Lead end-to-end campaign planning, rollout, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and execute influencer and community-building initiatives to deepen fandom engagement, strengthen brand affinity, and attract new audiences.
- Own YouTube growth strategy and performance.
- Develop programming, content pillars, and optimization frameworks.
- Track KPIs and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Establish reporting frameworks for social performance
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to leadership
- Partner with global marketing teams to ensure alignment with global brand objectives.
- Work closely with India marketing to ensure social media is fully integrated into 360° campaigns.
- Provide interim strategic guidance and alignment for MENA social initiatives.
- 8+ years of social media marketing experience, preferably in entertainment, youth culture, or digital-first brands
- Proven track record in developing and scaling social strategies
- Strong experience leading influencer and campaign-led growth initiatives
- Deep understanding of YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using social analytics and listening tools.
- Experience collaborating across markets is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
- Passion for anime, fandom culture, or entertainment
