Your Role:
We are a world-class, international team of engineers working on Vuforia, a market-leading mobile Augmented Reality (AR) platform powering PTC's AR product portfolio. You will join a passionate team focused on developing web services, processing pipelines and tools for our computer vision and deep learning products. Working in Pune, you will play a lead role in enhancing Vuforia functionality, making cutting-edge AR capabilities a reality.
Your Impact:
As a member of the Vuforia team, you will create new and innovative features for the Vuforia platform, which have been adopted by a global ecosystem of around 1 Million developers and partners, who have developed more than 100K applications for consumer and business use on a range of handheld and head worn devices. Your work will directly contribute to expanding Vuforia Augmented Reality suite for the Industrial Enterprise.

Your team is co-located in Pune, but works closely with a number of globally distributed teams and individuals. The team is responsible for developing and deploying highly scalable and always-available services as well as tools to maintain, monitor and secure these services.

Your Day-to-Day
- You will work with a team of software, computer vision and deep learning engineers to develop highly available and scalable distributed systems for the Vuforia Cloud platform following DevOps and agile practices.
- You will be a key contributor to design, implement, test, operate and maintain our Scala-based backend services and APIs that power many of the Vuforia features.
- You will contribute to deployment and automation tools, continuous integration, monitoring, alerting and security.
- You will influence current and future design, technology and architectural choices to help deliver high quality and well-crafted software keeping up with latest developments in cloud computing.
- You will engage in active code reviews, architecture and design discussions with peers.
Must-Have Skills (3-5 bullet points)
- In-depth understanding of web services, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases Solid knowledge of Python, Scala or functional programming concepts.
- Comfortable with Linux/Unix OSs and command line interfaces
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS or other cloud technologies is a strong plus
- Excellent communicator with good spoken and written English
- BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Engineering
